Abstract

This research is motivated by the effect of self-control on consumptive behavior of students of SMAN 2 Merangin class. The research objective is to describe; 1) To find out the consumptive behavior of class XI students of SMAN 2 Merangin, 2) To find out the self-control of class XI students of SMAN 2 Merangin, 3) To determine the effect of self-control on consumptive behavior of class XI students of SMAN 2 Merangin. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a simple linear regression analysis approach. This study collected data using observation, questionnaires and documentation. The population of this study were all 141 students of class XI at SMAN 2 Merangin. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique as many as 66 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis using percent technique. The results of this study reveal that, R Squalre X at Y 0.123, it can be concluded that self-control is identified as having an influence, namely 0.123 x 100%, so the effect of X on Y is 0.123%, while the rest is influenced by traffic variables that were not detected by researchers . researchers do this. Then the hypothesis is accepted which states that there is a significant influence of self-control variables on consumptive behavior.

Abstract

The background of this research is because there are students who use social media during the learning process. The purpose of this research is to describe; 1) the use of social media by Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. 2) learning achievement of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. 3) Knowing the effect of using social media on the learning achievement of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang.This research is a quantitative descriptive research with a simple linear regression analysis approach. The population of this study were all 252 class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique as many as 72 people. The instruments used are questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using percentage techniques and simple linear regression. The results of this study revealed that 1) the use of social media by class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang was in the high category, 2) the learning achievement of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang was in the medium category, 3) the influence the use of social media on the learning achievement of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang, there is an effect of the use of social media by 7% with a very weak category on their learning achievement. It is recommended for teachers to make social media a place for students to be creative and a place for positive exchange of information, both lessons and things that have a good impact on students.

Abstract

This research looks at the phenomenon that there are still students who experience the impact of using the tiktok application. This study aims to describe 1) the positive impact of the tiktok application, 2) the negative impact of the tiktok application, 3) the implications of guidance and counseling services. The research population was students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Sijunjung, totaling 180 students. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, a sample of 48 students. Sources of research data are primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire and processed using a percentage technique. The results of this study reveal that in general they are in the category of students who use the tiktok application. 1) The positive impacts of using the tiktok application in general are in the many categories, 2) The negative impacts of using the tiktok application in general are in the very many categories, 3) Implications of BK services affected by users of the tiktok application are advised by researchers to conduct reality counseling. Based on the results of this study, the researcher recommends that guidance and counseling teachers pay more attention to and assist students in using applications on smartphones, especially the tiktok application so that students are able to interact with their friends at school and can follow the learning process well. It is recommended for students to reduce the use of the tiktok application in everyday life so as to avoid the negative effects arising from the application.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are students who still like to procrastinate on work, are often late in submitting assignments, and cannot control themselves and time well. The purpose of this study was to describe: 1) Self-control, 2) Academic procrastination, 3) The effect of self-control on academic procrastination of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 38 Padang. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive method with simple regression analysis. In this study, data collection was carried out by observation and interviews. The population of this study was all students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 38 Padang totaling 240 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique as many as 59 people. The instruments used were questionnaires and data analysis using percentage techniques. The results of this study indicate: 1) Self-control is in the good category, 2) Academic procrastination is in the fairly high category, and 3) There is an effect of self-control on academic procrastination in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 38 Padang of 19.6%. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that students be able to increase self-control and reduce academic procrastination behavior, so that they can have a good influence on learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students who have not been able to have the ability to manage emotions. The aims of this study were: (1) Profile of self-regulation of students before treatment in the experimental group and control group, (2) Profile of self-regulation of students after treatment in the experimental group, (3) Effectiveness of the development program Information technology (IT)-based self-regulation improves the ability to manage students' emotions. This study uses a quantitative approach, the type of research is experimental. The location of this research is at SMKN 2 Padang. The samples in this study were 35 students in class XI BPD (Digital) (experimental group) and 35 students in class XI RPL (control group). The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is Ancova. The results of the study found: 1) The level of self-regulation before treatment was classified as low, both in the experimental class and the control class. 2) The level of self-regulation after the treatment underwent significant changes, especially in the experimental group. 3) Information technology-based emotional intelligence development program is effective in significantly increasing the Self Regulation ability of class XI students at SMKN 2 Padang. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended for counseling teachers to be used as guidelines or input materials for implementing the Self Regulation development program in improving the ability to manage students' emotions.

Abstract

The background of this research is because the purpose of the research is to describe; 1) Self-management of class XI students 2) Bullying attitudes of class XI students 3) The relationship between self-management and bullying attitudes of class XI students. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a correlation analysis approach. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire instrument. The population of this study was all students of class XI BDP SMK Negeri 1 Painan totaling 92 people. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 92 people. Data analysis using correlation techniques. The results of this study reveal that 1) Self-management of class XI students is in the fairly good category, 2) The bullying attitude of class XI students is in the fairly good category, 3) The relationship between self-management and bullying attitudes of class XI students is in the very category weak. Based on this research, it is recommended for counseling teachers and subjects to improve self-management and reduce bullying attitudes. Based on the relationship between self-management and bullying attitudes, it is in the very good category.
